A Parent Program Call to Action for Schools Attuned Participants

American Education Week is November 11-17, 2007. In celebration of “Invite a Parent to School Day” on November 13, we would like to challenge Schools Attuned participants and their students to take advantage of this excellent opportunity by hosting the All Kinds of Minds Fair for parents and caregivers!

The All Kinds of Minds Fair is designed around the premise that students are ambassadors to their families. The Fair leverages students' strengths and affinities to provide entertaining and interactive learning experiences for the entire family – parents, guardians, grandparents, other caregivers, and siblings.

Fair participants visit a series of stations with fun learning activities. Each student-staffed activity demonstrates a system of the neurodevelopmental framework that underlies learning. Parents are presented with general concepts to build their understanding of this framework and its application to their children's educational progress. To learn more, Schools Attuned participants should visit www.allkindsofminds.org/sa/uakom.aspx.

Don't just invite parents to school. Engage them!
